Parents,
I wanted to give a quick shout out to those of you who help your 1st grader with his/her homework and help make sure it is getting done each week. I know a kid's homework, especially in 1st grade, can easily turn into a parent's homework with your reminders, accountability, help, etc. I can't tell you enough how important these foundational skills are for your 1st grader. I am definitely seeing a direct correlation because kids who do their homework consistently and kids who succeed academically. Conversely and unfortunately, the opposite is true about kids who don't do their homework.
So, thanks again for your help and support at school by helping and supporting at home. I really appreciate it! Your kiddos are lucky to have you.
