Hope you were able to spend some extra time with your kiddo/s over the last 2 days.
Because of the snow days and missing out on instructional time this week, I didn't give the kids their weekly spelling test today. I will give the test next Friday so that we have a few more days to practice the oi/oy spelling pattern.
Also, homework is going to look a little different for this coming week. Instead of the typical Lexia, reading fluency, spelling sentences, and math practice, kids will ONLY have Lexia and an assignment about safety. It has come to my attention that some kids don't know important information that they might need in case of an emergency. I'm talking about: their last name, their parents' names, a parent's phone number, their home address, etc. If your kiddo already knows these, awesome! If not, please take the next week to help your kiddo memorize these things. I'd hate for your kiddo to be in an emergency situation in which they might need to relay this info, but more that that, I'd hate for them to be in an emergency situation and NOT know this info.
The 1st grade music program WILL be rescheduled, but there is no official date yet. I'll let you know the rescheduled date as soon as I hear.

- animal projects are due on Tuesday, 3/19
- aquarium field trip is on Tuesday, 3/19
- Please send your kiddo with a COMPLETELY DISPOSABLE lunch, comfortable shoes, and weather-appropriate clothing.
- student-led conferences are on 3/19 and 3/20
