Halloween is right around the corner. Kids ARE allowed to dress in their costumes for the day as long as there are no weapons, masks, or face paint. We will have our classroom party on Wednesday, 10/31, from 2:45-3:30pm. You're welcome to join us for that time. Also, if your forte is party-planning and you'd like to help me with Halloween party plans, let me know. :)
There will also be a Trick-or-Treat Street event at Brantner on Friday, 10/26, from 6:30-8:00pm.
Today in Thursday folders you'll see results from a Superkids reading test that the kids took on Tuesday. Attached to the results is a writing sample that made up a portion of the test results. I was looking for complete, on-topic sentences with correct spelling, capitalization, and punctuation. If you're curious, the prompt for their writing was:
"Think about what you did after school yesterday or after you woke up
today. Write about some of the things you did in the order you did them.
Try to write at least three sentences. Remember to begin each sentence with
an uppercase letter and end with an end mark."
The PTA is looking for some last-minute help with the Brantner Fun Run on Saturday, 10/6. Please CLICK HERE to sign up to help. Also, they will be accepting donations for the Fun Run until the day of the event.
